colour book page layouts

Above are the finished page layouts/decided content for the colour book. The layout and actual appearance of the book i believe are successful in communicating the vibrancy and uplifting feeling i was hoping to achieve through the use of vibrant colours and both conforming and braking the grid. The element i don't think works is the chosen typestyle, i don't often use digital type, i prefer hand drawing and scanning text in, however this is what i did with the previous book and due to the compact A6 size, the hand drawn type was in some places hard to understand. I want a type which is easy to read, compliments the bright illustrations and the fluidity of the lines. I've considered using Helvetica due to it's combination of geometric angles and clean lines, i feel the clean lines will compliment the clean lines of the illustrations, where as the geometric angles and clean lines compliment the clean lines of the grid.
