colour book 1st attempt

I had a look back at the first colour book to fully asses what went wrong with the first one.
The main issue i believe is the construction of the book (see images), it's very rushed and unconsidered.

The design style works, however a use of a grid in some way would of created a more consistent and cohesive book, when it comes to assembling the book i'm going to use a different paper stock this time, a thick newsprint will work well i believe, to add some stability yet still keep to the same hand made aesthetic of the style of the books illustrations.
When it comes to binding the book i'm going to use a bulldog clip and treat each page like an individual card of information, i believe this is a good idea as it will engage the reader and they can read one card of info when they feel like it, and rearrange the book if they choose to do so.
I'm also considering creating a box printed with a pattern made out of the illustrations within the book, to keep the book/cards within.
