shoot planning (sb1)

As there will be a series of images to go alongside the ties, i looked for inspiration by looking at menswear catalog images from the 80s.
The poses of the models is an aspect i want to communicate in my own images, the poses are dramatic in a way, with a mixture of front facing poses and ones where the model is looking in to the distance.
The poses seem quite over dramatic and over exaggerated which i believe is an aspect which will work well in communicating the humor aspect of the images.

Images like this one have also provided me with composition inspiration. Originally i was just going to have images, however i think adding text to the images will further communicate the era the images are supposed to of come from, perhaps having a slogan to go along side the designs, maybe using words form the individual song lyrics, or perhaps having a description of the item on the image too; to communicate the idea of each image looking like a page from an 80's catalog.

I sketched out a shoot plan to communicate my vision for the shoot, i want to capture 3 key images (one for each tie design), as the brief is playing on the idea of these ties being worn in a corporate setting by new romantic fans who want to show their love for the genre but still wear appropriate work wear, i thought of the idea of the location of the shots being in an office/having the model do office like activities.

I have a kind of story for the shoot, which i will describe to the model before i take the images so that he is able to get in to character, the idea is that Tom (Models name) is a new romantic fan and active clubber, every weekend after work he would travel to London and immerse him self in the fashion and music of the genre, then come Monday morning he would be back to his 9-5 office job, wearing his new romantic inspired ties as a reminder of what the weekend has to come. Tom tries to incorporate as many aspects of his new romantic style in to his work wear as possible; whilst still adhering to the works uniform policy.

The current idea for each of the shots is as follows;
1. drinking a cup of coffee, looking tired.
2. sitting at his desk, looking stressed, piles of documents
3. giving a presentation, looking confident.

I'm going to source a blazer and shirts to be worn throughout the shoot to mimic that of what would be worn in an office.
